Position Summary
At Suydam Construction, the Site Execution Specialist serves as a skilled tradesperson and crew leader, playing a pivotal role in delivering high-quality work, maintaining a productive job site, and supporting team culture. While not responsible for full project management or subcontractor oversight, the Site Execution Specialist is expected to demonstrate broad construction knowledge, reliable leadership, and strong communication with both the crew and the Owner/General Contractor.

While not responsible for full project management or subcontractor oversight, the Site Execution Specialist is expected to demonstrate broad construction knowledge, reliable leadership, and strong communication with both the crew and the Owner/General Contractor.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform all phases of carpentry work, including framing, sheathing, siding, trim, cabinetry, stairs, flooring, and structural modifications
- Install windows, doors, hardware, fixtures, and other finish components to a high standard
- Assist with drywall and paint-ready conditions. Assist with minor plumbing and electrical tasks, such as installing fixtures, setting vanities, hooking up appliances, or wiring light switches and outlets where permitted
- Understand how various trades intersect on site and perform light work as needed to support project flow or prepare for subcontractor installations
- Interpret and verify architectural plans, measurements, and material take-offs
- Complete punch list items and final finishes to meet high craftsmanship standards
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites every day; lead by example in enforcing safety standards
- Monitor tool trailers condition and daily tool accountability; ensure tools are charged, maintained, and properly stored
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly; report any mechanical issues promptly
- Immediately report any tool damage, material shortages, safety concerns, or jobsite hazards to the Owner
- Demonstrate leadership through skill, professionalism, and consistent work ethic
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members; teach proper technique and help build a respectful, crew-focused work culture
- Foster open communication, mutual respect, and collaborative problem-solving on site
- Represent Suydam Construction, LLC with integrity and professionalism to clients, subcontractors, and the public
- Collaborate with subcontractors and on-site teams to ensure tasks are properly sequenced and space is shared safely and efficiently
- Keep the General Contractor/Owner informed of job progress, changes in scope, or any field-level concerns that could impact schedule or quality
- Do not manage subcontractors directly but assist in preparing the site for their arrival and support their needs as directed
- Regularly use project management platforms to check schedules, document progress, flag issues, and upload site photos
- Ensure platform entries are accurate and complete; notify the Owner immediately if updates are missing or unclear
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs and ensure smooth project execution
